This bungalow-style cottage is located in Nantucket's prestigious Cliff neighborhood. The owner requested a pared-down design with an elevated, yet casual feel. Crisp white walls and pickled floors compliment the open floor plan; vaulted ceilings capitalize on the home’s natural brightness. Layered patterns give this space a youthful feel without being too loud or overly coordinated.
Distinct touches, like the antique artist’s wheel mirror over the fireplace, the early 1900’s framed flag and the custom bone inlay coffee table made in India, add a special charisma to the space which includes photographs by Michael Gaillard and fish gyotaku by local artist, Pete’s Fish Prints.
The exterior features a large-scale deck with woven wicker sectionals for soaking up sun during the day or lounging with a drink at night—perfect for regular cookouts.
